This time we meet some dark disciples of the Horned One... I made a very good review of "Satan's Breed (the Mark)", the second demo of this east Italy horde, 'cause I consider it a powerful mixture of all the old B.M. influences plus a touch of Venom / Celtic Frost in the hateful vocals, all made with good ideas and capacity. This that you are going to read is an interrogation I had with the bass-player and original former member MorbuSS. May their Dark Goatlord speak to you by his words...

Hails! “Satan’s Breed (the Mark)” is your second demo, can you tell us the history of its composition?

Some of the songs as Reflects…My war & Web of infinity were played from some years while others as Perfect Feast or Sathanas Aeutherpium were composed recently. With a new song (The Last Sentence) the demo was complete.

What do you consider as the strongest differences between the two demos?

In “Aquerra beyty…” we recorded every instrument separately, Satan’s Breed has been instead recorded totally LIVE and the sound has been powered and darkened together with the vocals. The first demo also is faster and it has got less thrash metal influences.

Would you like to analyse the songs that compose “Satan’s Breed” and eventually give us a short description of what are they about?

In the first song the stonemirror reflects our ancient and Unholy musical influences, in the second the musicians of the Black Court alternates fast lashes and slower Bathory-like rides creating a Black vortex, in the third Revenge and Vengeance emphasises the Desecrating speed, in the fourth the Journey to Hell unites to the more and more hypnotic and fast melodies towards the Final Sacrifice, in the fifth the Evil Web of Black Metal shows a venomous and strange lyric, in the sixth, finally, the tormented and hysteric vocals rides the classical merciless B.M. sound.

The music you play is a cool mixture between ’90 BM and some older influences, most of all in the singing, that in some parts seems to be in Venom / Celtic Frost style with a rawer approach. Do you agree? How would you describe you music?

YEAH! This is an excellent description of our music! But also Bathory, MayheM (r.i.p.) and Darkthrone are important influences. Our music is a Dark and original mixture of all this. To make a music devoted to the Horned One it is unnecessary to amaze the ignorants' ears with thousands artifices, you just need that the Breed’s Blood runs in your veins!

What do you consider as your strong influences?

The only and important influence is the Shadow of the Dark Master. It is this thing that makes us play in this way.

Can you tell us what dark rituals have you made to summon Melets? What are the most important steps in your band history?

We needed a band to show our Nature. Melets (also Mestlet, Melez) is the word of the Horned One, The Word was scratched on a wall and the band was formed by Mechlet and me.

You have a strong Satanic imagery and attitude: even if nowadays isn’t so much fashionable as once was (luckily), there has always been a strong bound between Black Metal and Satanism: your personal opinion?

Black Metal cannot exist without Devil-Worship, It is a musical way to give Him Honour.

Why did you choose to play Black Metal? What feelings and sensations does this musical art give to you?

Our scorn towards the reign of light and humanity subject to the false god is projected in our way of playing. It’ll be the sound of the overthrowing of the judeo-christian domain.

What do you consider BM musically and attitudinally and what would you like to crush under your feet?

Black Metal was made to entertain the Great Black Goat, the God with one thousand Names. The ones who play it with other conceptions should die with their face in the mud.

The new trend: NSBM. After having being laughed at by those who sincerely worship other ideologies common to Black Metal, now the new kids are trying to being kicked in the asses even by those who really believe in NSBM and its meaning. What do you think of the constant presence of trends in a kind of music that should be “elite” not a fuckin’ hobby?

According to me politics is to be excluded from every kind of music and especially from B.M., which want the government of a God, not of men.

Describe to the readers your way of thinking and eventually your philosophy of life, in what you believe and what you are fighting for…

I fight for the Return into Earth of Satan, the Black God, Father and Master of all.

How do you see the future of the BM “scene” in your country and worldwide? What are the bands you’d like to suggest us and those you want to publicly insult?

There are interesting bands in Italy, but personally I don’t follow much the scene. I however hate shitty bands as dimmu borgir, cradle of filth & Co., and all of those who use B.M. for their commercial goals, or with wrong ideologies. Black Metal is a religious music, and its religion is SATAN!!!!!!

Have you planned any live gigs to support Melet’s music? Where?

‘Till now we’ve done just two gigs, but 23 of May we’ll play live at the Country Star, Albignasego (PD).

Ok, I wish to tank you for your time and say again that your demo is a valid work that I hope will have a follow: end as you want…

Thanks for the interview. Prepare yourself for the new assault of the Black Troops of the Avernum, be strong, shout at the Devil, upset the judeo-christian morals and kill always the cowards and traitors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hails and keep the Black Flame burning forever…
